Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton would be president Clinton in a walk if Boston— and Dorchester and Mattapan voters— were the only voters.
The former Secretary of State is— as expected— cruising to a lopsided win in the Democrat-dominated capital city, with more than 78 percent of the citywide vote in her column with about two-thirds of the votes counted so far, according to campaign sources.
In Dorchester, Trump came closest to topping the ticket in one of the Florian Hall precincts (16-12) in Neponset, where Clinton bested her GOP opponent 450-411. The other Florian precinct (16-11, Cedar Grove) tipped to Clinton decisively, 743-290.
In Savin Hill, the bellwether 13-10 precinct (Cristo Rey School) was a Clinton blow-out, 897-302.
Trump was more competitive at the Kenny School near Adams Corner, where voters chose John McCain over Barack Obama in 2008. This time, Clinton topped Trump in 16-9 by a tally of 577-463.
At the Adams Street Library (16-8), Clinton posted a decisive win over Trump, 736-241.
In the Lower Mills double precinct, (17-13/14) Mattapan and Dorchester voters combined to deliver a lopsided win for Clinton, 1,581-247.
