Community members stood outside the Burke school on Tuesday afternoon to greet exiting students with cheers of solidarity. The afternoon event follower a similar action staged this morning, in which men and women gathered to welcome students back to school. A 17 year-old Burke High junior, Raekwon Brown, was shot and killed outside the school last Wednesday. Two other students were also shot, though not seriously wounded, in the incident.
