Thursday (5th)
Hear from both sides in the debate over the Boston 2024 Olympics proposal and what it could mean for Dorchester’s 
Franklin Park. The forum, sponsored by the Franklin Park Coalition, starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Franklin Park Golf Clubhouse, 1 Circuit Dr., Dorchester.

Friday (6th)

• The Archdiocese of Boston Black Catholic Choir fourth annual Gospel Music Workshop featuring Thomas Wade Jefferson will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 517 Blue Hill Ave., Dorchester from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Also on Sat., March 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (lunch included). Cost: $15.
• Dorchester Civic Forum Series continues at First Parish Dorchester, 10 Parish St. at 7 p.m. This month’s public safety topic tackles ways of improving relations between members of our community and the BPD. Three different resident-driven approaches will be presented and discussed. Evening parking around the Mather Elementary School. Sponsored by Bowdoin Geneva Residents Assoc. and First Parish Dorchester.

• The Association of Haitian Women In Boston hosts an International Women’s Day celebration entitled “Making it Happen” at the Mattapan branch of the Boston Public Library from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will commemorate women and their economic achievements in Boston. Saturday (14th)
The JFK Presidential Library and Museum will host the Irish Balladeers from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event is part of the museum’s Celebrate! Series that presents American culture diversity through performance. To honor St. Patrick’s day, the Balladeers will perform traditional stories and dances with authentic Irish instruments.
