The Dorchester Eagles Pop Warner program's Jr. Pee-Wee team — 33 youngsters ages 10-11— are hoping to travel to Orlando, Florida this weekend to compete in the annual Pop Warner national tournament. The team earned a spot in the tourney by winning the New England title in their division last weekend, defeating a team from New Haven, CT.

The league typically wins a berth in the annual contest— but always has difficulty raising the thousands of dollars needed to pay for transportation and accommodations at the Disney resort where the tournament is held. The league is asking for donations— and corporate sponsors to help them cover the costs.
