A Christmas Concert set for Fri., Dec. 20 at St. Gregory’s church will feature a performance by an acclaimed Croatian singer Tajci, whose Christmas Concert Experience has been seen by millions around the world. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the church, located at 2223 Dorchester Ave.

“I am telling the story of our longing to believe, waiting, then awakening to and celebrating the joy of the Christmas season,” said Tajci, who now lives in America with her husband and three sons. “I’m offering this concert as a chance to slow down and enjoy each moment of the season.”

Tajci is touring in support of her new album Awaken.  Her “Christmas Concert Experience” takes the audience on a musical sleigh ride that conjures images that vary from a vast gothic cathedral for a Gregorian chant, to a trip to the local mall where a young woman searches for the true spirit of Christmas among the chores of the busy season.

“This is the one event you will need to attend this Holiday Season, as Tajci’s powerful music and narrative will change the way you appreciate America’s favorite holiday,” says Bill Vrbanac, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and one of the organizers of the concert. “She draws in you a wish to experience Christmas for the first time, with the awe, wonder and longing for miracles.
