The Boston Police Department reports a man crossing the street at Talbot Avenue and Wescott Street around 1:25 a.m. Friday was struck by a black or blue Mazda that sped away.

The victim, 20, was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he died.

Police say the car, which now likely has a broken passenger-side mirror and possibly additional damage to the right front fender, had multiple occupants.
