Students from Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy greeted Ireland’s Taoiseach Enda Kenny on Friday, Feb. 17 after a breakfast hosted by the Irish-American Partnership in Boston. The students, who participate in the Academy’s Fine Arts program under the direction of Mary Swanton, played violin for the prime minister during the event.

The students shown, left to right, are Angela Augustin, Emily Tran, David Revere and Jacqueline Tran. They paid musical tribute to An Taoiseach with their renditions of "The West's Awake" and "Moonlight in Mayo.” Mayo is Kenny's home county in Ireland. They ended their performance with “America the Beautiful.” Photo by Harry Brett
