Sunday auction, reunion at Florian benefits Elizabeth Seton Academy

Elizabeth Seton Academy will host its annual Autumn Auction and Reunion on Sun., Nov. 7 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Florian Hall in Dorchester. Some of the more popular items are the gift certificates for restaurants, theme parks, historic sites, museums, and more. Other items very readily sought after are autographed sports memorabilia and tickets to Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots games.

Elizabeth Seton Academy (ESA) is a private Catholic all girls’ college preparatory high school in Lower Mills that provides an affordable, high quality education for Boston’s inner city girls. Totally self-supporting, ESA does not receive assistance from the Archdiocese of Boston or from any government agency. With approximately 115 girls, ESA provides a nurturing environment, where teachers and administrators work closely with each young woman to develop her potential as a scholar.

This year alumnae from all of the former girls Catholic High Schools in Boston are invited to attend—alums from St. Patrick’s, Roxbury, St. Gregory’s, Dorchester, St. Clare’s, Roslindale, Cardinal Cushing, South Boston, and, of course, Monsignor Ryan Memorial, Dorchester, the school and tradition from which ESA has grown. These successful alumnae provide the inspiration and mentoring so needed by young high school women today. Additionally, ESA welcomes all who wish to assist them in reaching their goal this year and, more importantly, to support ESA in accomplishing their mission of education.
