Joe Wheelwright at Sleeping Moon unveilingA crowd of more than 200 people turned out at the north plaza of Ashmont Station on Tuesday afternoon for the official unveiling of Sleeping Moon, a sculpture by artist Joseph Wheelwright. The piece was commissioned five years ago by a committee of neighbors led by the Dorchester Arts Collaborative. The event featured a performance by the Boston City Singers and remarks by MBTA general manager Richard Davey, among other officials. A reception followed at Ashmont Grill.
