According to Coach Bill Clougher, “With a core of very talented returning players this year, and a strong draft, I thought that maybe we would get lucky. Through a long season, and an endless wait for the playoffs to begin and then resume, the team members stayed focused, gave their best efforts and kept the intensity level high when it counted most. From the top of the order to the bottom, the Red Sox won as a team.”

This was Clougher’s first championship having coached the Cedar Grove Red Sox for the past 15 years.
