A one-alarm fire broke out shortly before 2 p.m. today at 19 Bullard St., the Boston Fire Department says.
An electrical short circuit sparked the fire in a rear bedroom on the second floor. No occupants were injured, but one firefighter went to the hospital with a cut hand, the department says.
Fire officials estimated the damage at $300,000 and called in the Red Cross to help find a new place to stay for the five adults and one child who lived there.
