Maureen and Larry Feeney

Larry and Maureen Feeney will be among the honorees at this Friday's 24th annual Caritas Carney Hospital Awards Dinner on at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. The Dorchester couple will be the recipients of the Andrew Carney Humanitarians of the Year award.

Larry Feeney has served as the Caritas Carney Foundation Board President for the past three years. Maureen Feeney is the president of the Boston City Council.

The President's Award will be presented to Penny Connolly, RN, of Dorchester. Connolly began her career at Carney Hospital as a high school student in 1969. She currently serves as Clinical Resource Nurse where she facilitates the admission process of many patients who are in the Emergency Department. She was instrumental in forming the group, The Coalition to Strengthen Carney Hospital.

The Norman A. Welch, MD Award will be presented to David P. Lustbader, DMD, South Shore Oral Surgery. Dr. Lustbader, service chief of oral surgery at Carney, has been a member of the medical staff since 1990 and served as the President of the Carney Hospital Medical Staff from November, 2005 to January, 2008 and as an officer since 2000.
