Shooting leaves man wounded in Gallivan development

A man was shot multiple times on Standard Street in Mattapan on Wednesday evening (June 11), according to Boston Police, who are investigating the incident this week.

According to a BPD report, the unnamed victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds on the street by officers called to the scene inside the Gallivan Housing development off Morton Street just after 6 p.m.

He was transported from the scene with what BPD termed “non-life threatening” injuries. No arrests have been reported yet.

Three people were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries on in separate stabbings on Larchmont Street and Vaughan Avenue on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, according the Boston Police. Officers responded to an address on Vaughan Avenue for a report of a man stabbed around 10:22 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10. An adult male victim was found on the scene and transferred to the hospital. There have been no arrests, and it is an ongoing investigation, according to BPD.

Early the next morning, June 11 at 3:30 a.m., officers were summoned to an address on Larchmont Street for a report of a stabbing, with some sources reporting a long knife or machete being used. The victim was on scene and transported to the hospital by ambulance.

A suspect that was also on the scene was arrested for aggravated assault, and transferred to the hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
