The Boston Licensing Board on Thursday awarded more liquor licenses, including six in Dorchester, from Grove Hall to Fields Corner.

The licenses come from a batch of 195 licenses meant for 13 specific Zip codes in Boston, including several in Dorchester. Unlike more traditional licenses, these neighborhood ones cannot be resold and have to be given back to the city should the owners go out of business.

Restaurants awarded new licenses in this round:

Cool Shade Jamaican Restaurant, 388 Blue Hill Ave. in Grove Hall, won an all-alcohol license with an 11 p.m. closing time. Owner Andre Williams told the board he hopes to serve Jamaican drinks such as rum punch and Red Stripe beer to go with his jerk chicken, ox tail and other Jamaican dishes.

Blasi's Kitchen & Bar, 762 Adams St., Adams Village, was awarded an all alcohol license to replace its current beer-and-wine license, which it will return to the city. Midnight closing time. Owner Maria Blasi's attorney told the board that although she owns the entire building the restaurant sits in, she has no plans to expand the restaurant beyond its current 82-seat space with room for 24 at the bar.

Milkweed, 1010 Morrissey Blvd., won an all alcohol license with a midnight closing time. The restaurant, which recently opened, serves breakfast through dinner, with brunch on weekends.

LeCorps said she hoped to open her 49-seat restaurant this fall.

Chilacates Cantina, a Jamaica Plain-based taco chain, won an all alcohol license with a 1 a.m. closing time so it can expand into a new space in the Dot Block complex at 1211 Dorchester Ave.
