The Dorchester Knights of Columbus Council #107 will host its first-ever golf outing tournament on July 28 at Wampatuck Country Club in Canton.
Participants are urged to sign up by July 9.

Member Bill Sansone said the Council decided on hosting a golf tournament as a new way to raise money for its charity funds and its scholarships to students entering Catholic high schools.

The Council also partners with Archbishop Williams High School to sponsor a livestream broadcast for the girls’ hockey team.

The tournament, will be held as a “best ball” format with teams of four, is limited to the first 20 teams to sign up. The cost is $200 per golfer and includes green fees, a buffet lunch, and golf cart. Non-golfer cost is $25 just for lunch.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The course is located at 99 Pleasant Garden Rd., Canton.
