The Boston Police Department reports two men were fatally shot in Dorchester early Sunday.

A man was shot shortly before 2 a.m. at 38 Erie St.. He was brought to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police say.

Minutes later, another man was shot at Sumner and Conrad streets, about a mile and a half away.

Somebody brought him to a local emergency room before officers arrived; he was declared dead there, police say.
