Three-decker artistry at Ashmont Grill

Baehre's painting Dorchester at Night, part of her "Emerald Era" series, depicts a pair of three-deckers bathed in green neon light.

A collection of paintings by Dorchester-based urban landscape artist Jodie Baehre will be on display this month at Ashmont Grill, beginning with an opening reception on Monday, July 15 from 7-10:00 p.m.

The exhibit will feature new work from a series titled the "Emerald Era," which heavily features the color green thanks in part to a residency Baehre participated in earlier this year in Epsom, New Hampshire, during which she studied the color.

Baehre's art has been featured in several exhibitions in Boston including Ambassadors 2 at Boston City Hall and The Big Picture at Atlantic Wharf Gallery. Her work is on permanent reserve at the Boston Public Library, Factory 63, Harvard University, and Mass General Hospital. Last year, Baehre was honored by The City of Boston as a Fay Chandler Emerging Artist.

The exhibit will be on display at Ashmont Grill through the end of July. Learn more about the artist at jodiebaehre.com.
