Police: Man who was shot in gunfire that killed Mattapan grandmother arrested on gun charges

A Mattapan man will be charged with gun and other offenses in the ongoing investigation into the shooting death of 74 year-old Eleanor Maloney, who was gunned down on Saturday afternoon outside her Mattapan Street home. Anthony Davis, 37, will face three charges, including "Armed Career Criminal Level 1," according a statement released by Boston Police today.

Davis, one of two men also shot in the incident, was arraigned today in his hospital bed, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, which says a Dorchester judge set bail at $50,000.
