A fire sparked by a second-floor short circuit displaced eight people at 83 W. Selden St. Friday morning. None were injured, but one firefighter suffered a cut hand while helping put out the fire.
A basement fire at 3 Mill St., meanwhile, broke out about an hour later. Again, no residents were injured, but one firefighter experienced shortness of breath.
