Peabody Hall, 209 Ashmont Street, Dorchester

The contributions of migrants and immigrants to our community are extremely rich, our living tapestry. American Soundtrack celebrates the diverse communities of Dorchester and by extension, many other American communities. The program includes:

- the world premiere of Charles Stacy's Crossroads and Confluences. Commissioned by Ashmont Hill Chamber Music and to be performed by HUB New Music, the piece celebrates the geography of Dorchester and four of its major cultural groups: African American, Caribbean, Vietnamese and Irish.

- Dvorák's Quartet No.12, Op. 96, "American", performed by the Chroma Quartet.

- Boston City Singers Tour Choir singing songs from the communities celebrated in our commissioned piece.

- a post concert feast of Vietnamese, Irish, Caribbean and African American finger foods.
