No school in Boston on Thursday; trash will be picked up early

School is cancelled in Boston on Thursday, according to the mayor's office. The National Weather Service forecast has been changed in recent hours, with 4-8 inches of snow now expected to fall in the city. City Hall, libraries and community centers will be open. There is NO parking ban in effect, according to a statement from Mayor Walsh released today at 5:30 p.m. Trash and recycling will be picked up tomorrow. but in some neighborhoods the pick-ups will begin at 6 a.m., earlier than usual.
