A 70-year-old Dorchester man was injured by a van at the intersection of Gallivan Boulevard and Adams Street this morning, according to State Police.

The man, whose identity was not released, was struck while on foot around 8:52 a.m., said State Police spokesman David Procopio. First responders transported the victim to Boston Medical Center with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

A Boston man, 35, struck the victim while operating a 2008 Chevy van. He was not injured and the van was not towed, Procopio said, and the driver remained at the scene. The site was cleared by 9:19 a.m.

An investigation is ongoing.
