A Dorchester Avenue staple of almost a decade, the Dot2Dot Cafe will close its doors on Fri, Aug. 18. Owner Karen Henry-Garrett thanked the community and friends in a heartfelt farewell Facebook post Monday, adding, “I am taking this opportunity to slow things down a little and to spend more time with my family.” She planned to keep limited service through Friday.

“I hope that you came because you enjoyed the food,” Henry-Garrett wrote. “I hope that you stayed because you enjoy being part of a community that strives to embrace all. In this spirit, I am sure that you will welcome the next tenant and continue to make Dorchester the amazing place it is.”
